In July 2025, anticipation filled the room once again as we unveiled Lara, the FRT’s new race car, to the public. The event was not only a car reveal but also a celebration of the team’s months of hard work. Guests were impressed not only by the technological innovations but also by the car’s striking appearance. Some attendees were returning supporters, while others were seeing the team’s work for the first time. After the rollout, team members and guests shared their impressions, highlighting what stood out most and how effectively the event conveyed the values embodied by Lara.
"We were definitely looking forward to the event," said members of the Arrabona Racing Team, who had been actively involved in the chassis and manufacturing processes from an early stage. "We were curious to see what innovations you would bring this year and excited to see how the car would perform on track."
One novelty of the event was a roundtable discussion, which added freshness to both the structure and atmosphere of the rollout. "From a marketing perspective, I really enjoyed the roundtable—it was a great addition and livened up the event," noted a member of the ART marketing team.
The car immediately captured the attention of attendees. "It’s a beautiful car—the nose cone stood out to me the most," said one guest, while others praised the Hungarian flag-inspired graphics: "I love that you incorporated the Hungarian flag and highlighted it throughout the rollout. It’s important to show that Formula Student exists in Hungary, and that there’s a strong, competitive team here."
The Most Memorable Moments from the Team’s Perspective
"The most memorable moment was when the team stood up and revealed the car, showing what they had been working on for months," recalled Detti, witnessing the culmination of the team’s efforts.
Dani added: "Before the rollout, I hadn’t seen the fully assembled car—and it looks amazing. It was great to see it complete for the first time."
Bence commented: "For me, like everyone else, the highlight was the car reveal. But the roundtable discussion was also enjoyable and added to the event’s energy."
Behind the Scenes
While the rollout was an inspiring, visually striking show for the audience, it was an intense day for the team:
Detti: "The atmosphere was great, although we had a lot of tasks to manage. We had to make sure everything ran smoothly, but it was clear that everyone was enjoying themselves and the programs."
Dani: "I agree, the mood was positive, although for us it was a bit ‘sporty’—especially when it came to filming."
Bence: "The audience enjoyed the roundtable discussion, and there was a buzz in the room even after the car was unveiled."
What Can Lara Do?
The rollout was not just about visual impact—it also aimed to convey a technical understanding of the car:
Detti: "We managed to convey our values, especially from the engineering side. The discussions showed how much work went into it."
Dani: "I spoke with several guests—they asked many questions and showed genuine interest. They appreciate that we put our heart and soul into it, and they also give their support."
Bence: "In terms of performance, we couldn’t demonstrate much, but we were able to showcase the components and developments through the presentation. Overall, it was very successful."
Looking Ahead
The rollout does not mark the end of work, but the beginning. Although Lara was originally scheduled to debut at Formula Student Germany, she was ultimately unable to participate in the event. The team continues their preparations, already focusing on upcoming season.
